培育臺灣海洋的守護天使-和美國小海洋生態課程

坐山擁海的和美國小，怎能辜負老天賜予的豐厚資源？
將大自然的美，植入每位和美寶貝的生命中；讓學習力之高度，望向未來迎接多元而嶄新的挑戰？謙和的友善態度、藝術的感受能力、科學的探究精神、語文的閱覽興趣、在地的鄉土情懷、人際的相互尊重…，「小學重態度、中學重品行、高中重品質、大學重成績」，我們願意將正向『態度』的引導與身教修練，作為小學教育核心信念之一。

每一腳步都踩得厚實！
海洋英語課程：
「浮潛的天堂、九孔的故鄉、攀岩的聖地」，尤其國際籍的攀岩場，國家級的浮潛聖地，拉近龍洞村民與不同種族的接觸距離。我們希望和美的孩子，不只是用「Hi」「How
are you」與「靦腆微笑」和遠從世界各國而來的浮潛客、攀岩客互動，而能夠藉此與課程相互激盪，深耕英語學習。
於是，本校英語教師-佩霖老師、芷平老師、廷芳老師、怡之老師、佩玄老師…等專業英語專長教師的長期耕耘下，和美校本課程：「小小解說員」、「英語小達人」已進行至第三年；在東北角教會文化、節慶、音樂…等社團課程、南天扶輪社的雲端遠距一對一視訊課程，孩子有了更多「運用語言為工具，享受世界豐富色彩」的機會；在104年度起，更有英專替代役-靖穎哥哥以影片方式，全校師生為主角、校園生活為內容，拍攝英語會話教學影片，極能引發學習高度興趣，亦為創客的小試。
專業研討。持續性、高度精緻、力求嚴謹的專業課程對話
海洋體育課程：
點狀式的浮潛體驗課程，若不能植入和美孩子的基本能力，就只是地利之便，仍然辜負了「海洋和美」之名。期望讓海洋課程兼具環境保育概念、海洋休閒安全，進而推廣至家庭、社區與個人未來，大刀闊斧執行檢核的研討並且修正海洋體育課程，納入環保概念與海洋保育議題，融入「健康與體育」領域，落實，才會真有效。
在吳靖國教授與許育彰教授的指導，國立海洋大學，使和美更加熟稔海洋教育專業知能；在龍洞灣公園尹德成教練、李秀娟女士和尹相文教練的指導，「浮潛、獨木舟、拋繩」，不僅是一項海洋運動亦或海洋休閒…，如何確實的檢定能力？如何讓孩子習得自救與救人？有多少因為不理解美麗海洋的本質，而陷自然迫害生命於不義？藉此，海洋體育知能與海洋體育執行的交流與研討，更顯精彩！此外，本校體育教師、海洋教育資源中心王政堂老師、具有攀岩專長的古佩玄老師，於長期耕耘與通力合作下，和美校本課程：「浮潛、攀岩、獨木舟、拋繩」等四項，終於著手編輯檢核手冊以利進行與推動。

海洋藝文課程：
東北角的美麗，若能夠藉由在地孩子的手、運用在地素材呈現視覺藝術，最終加入表演藝術與音樂，成就完整的和美海洋藝文課程，那是多麼美好的想望。儘管我們運用實驗課程與音樂社團、夏日樂學去補足，回到課程的執行堅持，培養「生活美學」的質感，不再困難。
自101學年度起，藉由「藝文深耕計畫」，聘請駐校藝術家-徐兆平老師指導本校視覺藝術課程，更在102學年度起，由素日精研課程發展與實踐的—和美許恒禎校長，親自帶領藝術家與藝文團隊教師們，研討創發全校視覺藝術課程架構。在施行與操作中進行修正，今則將焦點置於海洋媒材與教師專業的典範轉移。期許除了落實海洋視覺藝術課程外，也能精進教師專業與課程研發能力，進而推展東北角之美。
駐校藝術家-徐兆平老師說明課程設計概念與學生習得知能
海洋產業課程：
漁村孩子卻不懂得漁村產業，如何能夠談論「未來，我要帶著習得的專業知能回饋社區。」人口持續流失，是偏鄉可以預見的未來，但青年回流偏鄉服務，卻也是常聽聞的故事。我們的孩子，若能夠藉由紮實的課程，理解家鄉的美好與生活，這將是不同於統一版本規劃課程之外，所獨有的，除了知識外，更蘊含豐厚情感的智慧寶藏。
我們請益擁有實務經驗的顧問專家、邀請漁業處長官並討論校方的需求與困擾後，結合校內課程的分析，期望有效放入綜合、社會與生活課程內。龍洞漁業顧問-楊進益先生、張樹根先生，以校友、顧問、在地耆老、漁業經濟工作者…等多重身份，語重心長，讓龍洞漁業前世今生與未來，畫面鮮明；貢寮漁業處-俞怡君課長、潘祖德技師，將現有的世界產業發展、政府推動方向、學校運作機制、教材相關資源…一併帶入和美課程研發；更有豐富實務經驗的陳秀蓮老師，熟悉在地特色產業—海女與石花菜的簡寶淑老師，即時與深厚的在地情感連結，為生硬的課程，增添的，不僅是專業知能而已。
擁有專家的指導，如一活水注入，讓課程的動能加劇而活躍。

我們能夠看見和美自編海洋課程，在課程教學上的正當性與在地鮮明特色。深耕與發展的，不是教師為自己留下多少專業與教學的證明，更非隨著人去樓空物換星移的曇花一現！當下，山海美景中，自詡為教育工作者∼必須為和美孩子、龍洞社區、東北角文化與山海的美麗，不辜負不卸責，實踐…回饋！

Cultivating of Marine Guardians in Taiwan—the Marine Curriculum of Hemei Elementary School

How can we ignore the
abundant natural resources surrounding us? The appreciation of Nature is deeply
rooted in the life of Hemei Elementary School students. With humble hospitality,
discernment of art, questioning minds of science, enthusiasm for reading, caring
about the local humanities, respecting of each other, the students are capable
of facing the coming challenges in the future. We are undoubtedly willing to
make these positive attitudes and role-modeling our educational core concepts in
elementary school stage.
The importance of basic competence cannot be
denied. We have been earnestly developing marine curriculum of characteristics
and basic competence. We have been drawing a bright picture in which children
enjoy the courses. The seeds had been planted and it will grow into tall trees
depending on student and teachers’ wholehearted cooperation.
Marine
English Courses
A paradise for diving, a hometown of abalones and a holy
land for rock climbing, Longdong village is a place welcoming people all around
the world. We hope our students to broaden their scope of knowledge and English
competence to communicate with people after class.
As a result, the school
based curriculum such as Little Narrators, Little English Masters, has come to
the third year under the guidance of the English teachers in our school.
Meanwhile, there are more opportunities like culture, festival, music and
distance learning classes for students to be exposed to English. Since 2015, the
substitute services draftee, Ching-Ying has videoed English learning clips
casted by our students and teachers which has drawn great attention and served
as pilot projects for MAKER.
Marine Physical Education Courses
Snorkeling
is a well-known activity in Longdong. However, it would be a great pity if we
only made the best advantage of our natural surroundings without implanted it
into students’ basic competence. We hope that our marine courses can convey the
concepts of environmental protection, marine recreation safety and be promoted
to people, families, and communities. With continuous examination and modifying,
integration of environmental protection and marine reservation, we can make our
marine physical education practical and visualized.
We become more familiar
with marine education related knowledge through the instruction of Prof. Wu and
Hsu from National Ocean University. We also have benefited a lot from the
coaches in Longdong Bay Park. Snorkeling, canoeing, rock-climbing and
line-throwing are now included in our school-based curricula. In addition to
being considered as marine sports, these activities should make students learn
the essence of ocean to help themselves or rescue others when in emergencies.
Marine Art Courses
What a great achievement it will be, if we portray the
beauty of the northeast coast area with students’ own hands using local
materials accompanied with performance and music to accomplish this Hemei marine
art courses. In ways of experimental courses, music clubs and summer learning,
finally returning to the main courses track, cultivating life aesthetics is no
longer a challenging difficulty.
After receiving subsidies from education
bureau, we invited Teacher Hsu to be our school artist and direct the visual art
curriculum. The school scale visual art curriculum frame has been carrying out
by Principal Hsu and the art teachers since 2013. And now, the focus has been
shifted to marine materials and teachers’ professional development to improve
teachers’ expertise and promote the beauty of the northeast coast area.
Marine Industry Courses
How can we discuss our future without knowing our
past, our root? It is foreseeable that the population of fishing villages will
be decreasing continuously. But we also heard about some youth return to their
hometowns and settle down. We hope that our children can see the beauty of our
home with the solid foundation of our curriculum laid in advance. We consulted
to experts of related fields and officers from Fishery Agency. Our alumni also
gave us some precious advice. With their help, our curriculum can be more alive
as well as energetic.
The Marine Biological Curriculum of Hemei Elementary
School is of legitimacy as well as local characters. It is not only just a proof
of teachers’ profession or a flash in the pan. We, as educators have shoulder
the responsibilities of our students, local communities, the northeast coast
area culture and the beauty of Nature.
